《蚀信》以九十年代邮寄途中遗失的真实信件为材料，将未曾抵达的私人书写转化为一场关于记忆、时间与告别的交互装置。观众通过挥手触发滴水装置，使字迹在水痕中晕开、模糊、消失，也让被中断的情感在注视中完成一次迟来的抵达。

Letters That Never Arrived
《蚀信》由翟羽峤、庄静雯、LeeMAX共同创作，作品以邮寄过程中遗失的真实信件为材料，将上世纪九十年代未能抵达的私人书写转化为一场关于记忆、时间与情感流失的交互装置。信件记录着寄信人的日常片段，也承载着真挚而热烈的情感，却因意外停留在抵达之前。作品通过对信件的复刻、放大与隐私处理，使这些曾被中断的文字重新进入公共观看之中。观众在装置前面对的不只是旧信，而是一段被时间搁置、仍在等待回应的情感回声。
Eroded Letters, created by Zhai Yuqiao, Zhuang Jingwen, and LeeMAX, takes real letters lost in the postal process as its material, transforming private writings from the 1990s into an interactive installation about memory, time, and emotional disappearance. These letters record fragments of everyday life and carry sincere, vivid feelings, yet they were interrupted before reaching their intended recipients. Through reproduction, enlargement, and privacy protection, the work allows these suspended words to re-enter public view. What viewers encounter is not only an old letter, but an emotional echo left waiting in time.

挥手触发水痕告别
A Gesture Releases the Trace
作品通过传感器捕捉观众在装置前的挥手动作，将告别这一身体行为转化为装置运行的触发信号。当观众向信件挥手时，滴水装置被激活，水滴缓慢落在复刻放大的信纸表面，使原本清晰的字迹逐渐晕开、模糊，直至消失。交互过程并不依赖复杂操作，而是借由一个简单而熟悉的手势完成。观众在挥手、等待与注视中，参与了信件被再次传递、再次失去的过程，也在水痕扩散之间感受到情感的迟到、释放与告别。
The work uses sensors to capture the viewer’s waving gesture, turning the bodily act of farewell into a trigger for the installation. When viewers wave to the letter, the dripping mechanism is activated, and water slowly falls onto the enlarged reproduction of the page, causing the once-clear handwriting to blur, spread, and eventually disappear. The interaction does not rely on complex operations; it is completed through a simple and familiar gesture. Through waving, waiting, and watching, viewers take part in the letter’s renewed transmission and renewed disappearance, sensing a delayed emotion released through the spreading traces of water.

《蚀信》的核心并不在于展示传感器或滴水装置本身，而在于借助技术重新打开那些未能抵达的情感。水滴像时间的缓慢侵蚀，也像一次迟来的回应，使文字在消失中完成另一种形式的抵达。被放大的信件、逐渐模糊的字迹与观众挥手的动作，共同构成一场温柔而克制的告别仪式。作品在保存与消散、书写与沉默、个人记忆与公共观看之间建立联系，使那些被邮路遗失的情感，在水迹与注视中获得再次传递和释放的可能。
The focus of Eroded Letters is not to foreground the sensor or dripping device itself, but to use technology to reopen emotions that never reached their destination. The falling water becomes both the slow erosion of time and a belated response, allowing the words to arrive in another form through their disappearance. The enlarged letters, the gradually dissolving handwriting, and the viewer’s gesture together form a gentle and restrained ritual of farewell. Between preservation and fading, writing and silence, private memory and public viewing, the work creates a space where emotions lost in transit may be transmitted and released once again.
